Pastor Cherie Forret is glad to be getting acquainted with Trinity Church and the community of Beaver Dam. At the beginning of her professional life, she taught special education. After transitioning to youth ministry, she felt called to ordained ministry and attended Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary to receive her Master's of Divinity. She's served as pastor throughout Wisconsin: in Racine, Milwaukee, Mount Horeb and Eau Claire. To help develop churches develop sustainable ministry, she also has a Master's in Business Management.
Pastor Cherie has a passion for helping people and congregations take the next steps towards becoming who God created you to be. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and birdwatching, spending time with her adult children and one grandchild in the Milwaukee area, and resting in Door Co!
A staff member since 2012, Mike is happy to be directing music ministries here at Trinity Church. Previously, he has directed choral programs and music ministries at United Methodist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, and Catholic churches, along with teaching general and choral music in the public schools. Mike is an active member in a number of performing groups in the area. He has a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and a Master of Arts in Education degree in Educational Technology from Marian University. During the day, Mike works as a Client Services Manager for an online Learning Management System.
At Trinity, Mike directs the Chancel, Women's, Men's, and Children's Choirs, and the Trinity Orchestra. He is dedicated to creating inspiring, uplifiting music, which plays an integral part in our worship services here. There are many opportunities to get involved in the music ministries at Trinity throughout the year. If you have a talent or passion for music, please feel free to reach out to Mike at any time!
Kit Ulman is Trinity Church's organist and accompanist. Her passion is piano, which she has played since the age of 4. She teaches piano (ages 7 - Adult). She has been a member of Trinity Church since 1970 and received a Music Education Degree from UW Madison in 1976. She has enjoyed various accompanying positions including working with Dodgeland and Beaver Dam schools and playing for weddings and funerals.
Mitch Ulman is the church's main custodian and maintenance person. He works Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00am and 3:00pm. You can also find him at the church on the second and fourth Saturday mornings leading the Men's Breakfast and Bible Study or on Sunday morning working with the sound and video equipment. Mitch enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and home improvement projects.
Trevor Thom serves as the Worship Materials Specialist for Trinity Church. This means that he is responsible for creating the worship bulletin and slides for the screen each week, along with a variety of other tasks related to worship.
When he’s not in the office, Trevor is a student at UW-Washington County with a major in elementary education. He also serves in his home congregation in a variety of ways and is serving as a council member in the South-Central Synod of Wisconsin, ELCA. Trevor is Lutheran, but that only excites him more to be working with his sisters and brothers in the United Methodist Church!

Carrie Vujnovich is Trinity Church’s Youth Ministry Coordinator. Carrie is thrilled to get to know the youth and families at Trinity better and develop a fun, fulfilling, Christ-centered youth program. Having grown up in Trinity Church, children and youth spiritual development is very important to Carrie. Throughout her childhood, she attended Sunday School, confirmation, mission trips, and other faith development while being a part of the youth program here at Trinity. Now, Carrie enjoys co-leading Confirmation, participating in mission trips, and volunteering throughout the church and community.
During the day, Carrie provides care for children in her certified family child care. Carrie married her husband, Jordan, at Trinity Church. They have one daughter, Autumn. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching her daughter in various extra-curricular activities, reading, and enjoying a little down time.
Jeni is Trinity Church's Children's Ministry Coordinator. She is excited to work with the children and families of Trinity through the Sunday School program, Vacation Bible School, and other Children's Ministry events. Jeni grew up at Trinity Church going to Sunday school, confirmation, participated in mission trips, and then attended church as a member in high school. She is passionate about children growing and learning to love Jesus in a safe and fun environment. Jeni is excited to be working with a great team of staff and volunteers to expand Trinity's programs and start some fun new ideas.
Jeni lives in Beaver Dam but during the day is a 7th grade special education teacher in Watertown. She loves spending time with her family outside, playing games, traveling, and reading.
Kaylene recently joined Trinity after not belonging to a church for quite some time. She comes to the church with knowledge in childcare and works at a local daycare. She has an associates degree in Early Childhood Education and enjoys spending time with kids and she can’t wait to have her own someday! She is engaged and will be married to her wonderful fiancé Matthew Lind on June 28th of 2019. They live with their two fur children Duke and Daisy.
Deb Paul is a Beaver Dam native, who has years of experience providing programming for people of all ages, but especially for our 50+ population. Her family is located here in Beaver Dam and in Texas. She's had life experience that gives her depth in compassion and care. Please contact Deb to learn more about Trinity's programs that offer our retired (or close to retired) population meaningful ways to grow in faith and support each other in community.
Devon is the communications facilitator for Trinity Church-United Methodist. He works with Trinity’s ministry presence to invite people into discipleship with media. He develops, maintains and shares digital communications including social media, web development and printed marketing materials.
Devon comes to Trinity Church with over 25 years of graphic design and communications experience. He’s provided communication and design services in environments like structural engineering, higher education, scientific research and various non-profit organizations.
In his personal life, Devon enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, exploring various artistic endeavors, home remodeling, landscaping and working on his 1976 Triumph TR6 British sports car – which always seems to needs some sort of TLC.
