Service of the Longest Night
December 20, 6:30 p.m.
If we acknowledge none of us celebrate Christmas the same way, we also have to acknowledge that not everyone who enters this season is able to celebrate. Some among us are grieving fresh loss, some are experiencing depression and others need a quieter time of reflection than our culture provides. Let's give thanks that our God knows what each of us need and will be present with us wherever we are.
To honor God's comforting presence with us, we will gather for a quiet, reflective evening worship service. Scripture readings, musical reflection, time to pray and reflect will all be part of that worship service; may we reach out to invite anyone in our community that would be helped by the ministry of this service during this season. God's light comes to find us in any darkness.
